Rachel felt the residual energy of the place was very serious and unhappy before the present occupants lifted it with a lighter approach to life and lots of laughter. She felt the most recent previous occupant had been an unpleasant, dominant possibly violent man. The owner confirmed this to be true.

10.40pm

John captured some faint orb activity in the room while Rachel was speaking about a man named James who was peering into everyone’s face during the meditation earlier. We couldn’t pinpoint how he fits in with the house’s history, as he wasn’t communicating anything other than his name.

10.46

Rachel felt another male presence was lurking in the doorway to the kitchen, but he was hesitant to come forward, and cloaked himself as soon as he was spotted. After a short time of speaking out and reassuring the presence we were there in respect and meant no harm, he impressed some physical symptoms and emotions upon Rachel. She described him as a gentleman with breathing problems, passed away at least 20 years ago, in an intensive care hospital environment. He also had neck problems and raspy breathing, he has been looking after the lady and her 2 brothers as a physical protector, had a connection with boxing or fighting and he visits 5 different houses to see loved ones still here in the physical, often bringing a lady with him. The owner thought it was her grandfather.

Rachel felt a petite female presence, a fussy lady named Jean appearing and disappearing on her left, which was next to the front door.  Rachel stated she was opening the door at times, as this is what she used to do many years before when people would come across the road from the church for teas and some kind of meetings (basically gossiping!). The owner stated the door does open on its own and sometimes won’t stay shut at all unless it is locked. The room felt warmer by Rachel, although no temperature change logged, and John reported the camcorder was showing a blurring around Rachel. 

10.55

Little dog back again, guarding the door. John could smell dog, and so could Rachel, at the same moment. The house was immaculately clean and had no doggy odour on arrival, so the smell disappeared very quickly.

The owner also reported she can smell a strong ammonia smell in the house at times which disappears quickly too.

As Norma did an experiment to calm the dog’s spirit, John captured some orb activity on the camcorder near her feet. John didn’t spot the orbs during the investigation, but on reviewing the tape the fast moving orbs were apparent, and did coincide with where Norma felt the dog to be right at the same time as she was speaking to it.

11.00

Rachel felt the presence of a man named William. He had terrible problems with his left knee, sudden shooting pain and much worse when he became elderly. The owner confirmed her grandfather is William and had to use a wheelchair when he was elderly.

11.05

James was back – his presence was much stronger and he communicated with Rachel more freely. He asked to be called Jim, and showed Rachel he had mutton chop whiskers and sideburns during his life. The owner felt very cold now. Jim stated he passed in a state of panic, aged around 40. He didn’t pass here, and he crossed over fast, feeling physically sick. He passed with undiagnosed cancer and a lot of pain on his left abdomen.

He was a big man, with a thick neck, and he wasn’t connected with the house, but he used to come here to see a person he loved. He told Rachel he fell in love too late in life and passed too soon before it could really develop. He said he loved Lesley, a woman who had been staying with family here, she had run away to be here. He was trying to talk through Rachel but she was having none of it! He made her feel icy on the left side of the body where he was standing now. He told us he knew Lesley hadn’t been here in a very long time now, but he had very happy memories of the back bedroom (now the owner’s son’s room) and would visit often in memory of those times, seeing the room as it once was. He showed Rachel he wore a bracelet and a St Christopher necklace.

11.15

The Kitchen

Rachel immediately felt the presence of a lady named Alice who tries to help the owner, as she senses how she struggles to keep on top of a job, a business, housework and running around after a 2 year old! Alice stated she was a sprit helper assigned to the task of  giving  the owner extra energy and strength in running the home especially. She adopted the mode of a Victorian maid, but this was just to help explain what her role was. The owner has seen her before, and commented on how she was in a panic trying to clean and tidy before we arrived but suddenly felt calm all of a sudden in the kitchen and completed her tasks quickly and on time.

No other presences were felt and on reviewing the video tapes some orbs were spotted while Rachel was speaking about Alice.

11.30 Break

11.54

Back Bedroom

This was the room affecting the son’s sleep patterns.

Rachel felt that 2 other boys had been here and the names Andrew, Matthew and Anthony were connected with this room too.

11.58 Someone messed with Rachel’s hair.

11.59 At the same moment as a slow moving orb was observed on the static cam monitor, a spirit boy was here, approximately 2 years old, same age as the owner’s son. He showed Rachel he hugs people and was standing on the bed where Rachel was sat, and held her hand and then hugged the owner. He hugs people when they are upset, and sometimes plays with the toys in here. The owner did state that her son had told her he’d seen a boy playing with his toys.

Rachel reports she can tell from the residual energy that another presence has been here before tonight and walks around the room but means no harm, name beginning with J. Possibly James from before. Also residual energy of a young man lying in bed here worried about his future unable to sleep. The owner confirmed her brother lived here for a short time, staying in the same room after he came out of the Army and was unemployed for some time.

12.20

Second front bedroom –accessed through master bedroom

The view of the church across the road dominated this room’s energy.

Rachel was feeling mainly residual impressions in here, of an elderly lady doing needlepoint when the house was still quite new in Victorian times, and used the needlepoint as an excuse to constantly nose out of the window at the comings and goings at the church. She was part of the first family to live here.

Somehow Rachel felt there was a connection back then with the houses and the church being tied together. Rachel saw a residual snapshot of horses outside the church, and felt a residual burst of anger that the elderly lady had felt as she considered the vicar of the time was “ a womaniser”!

Master Bedroom

Rachel reported the feeling of spirits just having left the room before we walked in. Rachel felt the residual energy of a man named Harry who was recovering in here after being kicked in the face by a horse outside in the street further down. She felt pain in the cheekbone, almost as if it were broken. He certainly slept in this room.

Residual energy of quite a few births in this room, with one lady from some time pre 1920 almost dying after having given birth to a son. She didn’t bond with him properly as she had to have complete rest for many weeks afterwards.

Rachel heard the name David and a residual impression that he wasn’t connected to the house but had associations with time spent in the bedroom during the war years!

Rachel felt the surname Green was associated with the property in the past, and  at the same time felt someone standing behind her and a woolly headed feeling. The person standing behind Rachel wasn’t communicating.

12.41

Bathroom

Residual impressions of violent acts by former owners before the present owner, the previous lady of the house had considered the bathroom her haven from her husband until one day he was so angry he damaged the door until he got in and pushed her backwards into the bath. Several orbs were captured on video around the legs and feet of the team. Same uncommunicative presence as earlier in the master bedroom.

12.55

Rachel went into the back bedroom alone to do a cleansing and took the digital camera in to take some photos while she was doing so. Here is her account…

“I sat on the bed and snapped away at first, not feeling any presence. After about a minute I started the cleansing blessing and when I reached the part that urges uninvited spirits to leave, I felt a presence behind me to my right – the same presence from the master bedroom that didn’t speak to me. 

I quickly pointed the camera at where I perceived him to be and took 3 shots about a second apart. The photos show a dark shadow receding in the first 2 shots, the third was clear. He was gone from that point on, along with any other entities that had been disturbing the owner’s little boy”.

The owner reports a spirit free home, with no further incidents.
